Day Walk – Chanctonbury Ring and South Downs Way
Sunday 27th September 2026

We will meet in the car park at the end of Storrington Rise in Findon Valley from 10.00am for a 10.15am start.

From here we will walk up past Cissbury Ring. From there we will walk to Chanctonbury Ring with great views of the coast and the South Downs and then join the South Downs Way. After crossing the A24 we will walk part of the South Downs Way before joining the Monarch's way and heading towards Findon Village and back to our cars.

The walk will be around 13km and take around 5 hours.

Depending on the weather and energy levels there are options to make it shorter if the conditions are not good. The Black Horse Pub is close by for a post walk drink for those who are keen.
