Day Walk - Cuckmere Pilgrim Path – Arlington reservoir carparkSaturday 11th April 2026Meet at 9.45 for a 10am at the Arlington reservoir carpark. We will follow the Cuckmere Pilgrim Path which is a 12 mile circular route with 1200ft of elevation. The route passes seven ancient rural churches. We start by walking alongside the Arlington reservoir to Arlington Church. We will head alongside the river to Wilmington, then via the Long man to Alfrinston joining the South Downs Way. From there we will walk to Berwick Church, which has painting by the Bloomsbury group, before returning to our start point via Alciston, then Selmeston. Please remember your packed lunch. For those coming by public transport Berwick train station is a 10 minute walk from our start point. It may be possible to do car shares - please let the organiser know if you are willing to offer or if you would like to have a lift. |
