Day Walk – Friston
Sunday 19th October 2025

Unfortunately the weather looks rough on Sunday with 70% chance of rain from 10.00 am. 

I am still happy to meet up and go for a shorter walk, if preferred, ending at the Tiger Inn, East Dean!! A pint in front of a log fire might seem more of an attractive proposition....


This Sunday's day walk is along the Seven Sisters coastal path and then through Friston Woods. The walk is just under 13km and with a stop should be about 4½ hours. The walk includes stunning views from the cliffs and along the Cuckmere Valley as well as including woods and pretty hamlets. You can download the route here: Seven Sisters and Friston Woods.zip

Can we meet at the National Trust Car Park at Birling Gap at 10 am.

Unfortunately the car parks here and at the Country Park are expensive (£7 - £8 for all day). However, Birling Gap is free for National Trust Members and I have two cards for free parking. For others I suspect it's car sharing and spreading the cost. I will have room for two people and will travel from Worthing just before 9.00 and can pick up enroute.
